What is the blog's purpose?

I feel passionately about research, but there is a lack of stories describing what a career in research entails unless you win a Nobel Prize. This is my platform to tell my story. I will use my personal experiences to highlight the lessons I have learnt throughout my career. Therefore this is a blog of my personal opinions describing true events in the hope that it will make the road easier for other researchers to have a long career in research.

Why are you not using any names?

The purpose of this blog is to educate other researchers to have a successful research career. This blog is not a tell-all to judge or comment my past colleagues. I also acknowledge my experiences and lessons are not the same as my colleagues.
